RYA 2 Day Start Yachting » 27 - 28 December 2017, 10:00 - 18:00

A short introduction to sailing a yacht for complete beginners.

By the end of this 2 day course you will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and be aware of safety on board. Holders of the Start Yachting certificate can go on to complete the 3 day Competent Crew course in order to obtain the full competent crew certificate. All our cruising courses take place on the club's 44ft Bavaria S/Y Marko

Course Pre-requisites: None

Minimum Duration: 2 days

Timings: 10am till 6pm on both days

Recommended Minimum Age: 8

Course Content: The yacht, ropework, underway, rules of the road, man overboard recovery, clothing and equipment, emergency equipment and precautions, meteorology.

Cost includes: all materials required for course, light lunch, soft drinks, water etc.
